Why is this role important?

As a financial institution, we need to make sure our processes are safe and in line with all external and internal requirements at all times. AML Analysts will assist the AML team in assessing and minimizing risks. They’ll work closely with different departments to ensure SadaPay and its users are safe from Regulatory Penalties, Financial Crimes (including Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing and Fraud), Reputation Risks and Legal Risks.

 

As a Sadanaut You Will:
●  Work on routine transaction monitoring, which includes:

  • Monitoring all alerts related to card transactions and IBFTs in accordance with prescribed procedures
  • Identifying customer patterns and behaviors to counter fraud and financial crime
  • Investigating alerts individually to determine “False Positives” or detect any suspicious activity that needs further investigation
  • Providing analysis based on the customer’s profile, transaction patterns and previously monitored transactions of other users
  • Escalating suspicious transactions in line with SOPs
  • Periodically monitoring high, medium and low risk accounts
●  Perform FTDH Case Handling, which includes:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Filing disputes to banks regarding fraudulent transactions
  • Investigating cases filed by other banks, and establishing the money trail of fraudulent funds
  • Resolving said cases
●  Cater to Ad hoc responsibilities such as:

  • Strong communication skills
  • Reviewing CNIC expiries on a monthly basis to send users reminders through our CX channels
  • Filing STRs
What it takes to become a Sadanaut:

  • Strong data analysis skills
  • A good basic understanding of how banking /payment services work
  • Ability to present meaningful explanations against observations
  • Good grip on data analysis tools
  • Good Understanding of working with G-Suite
