Why is this role important?

Our infrastructure is the backbone of everything we do. From seamless payments to instant transfers, every product depends on secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure. As Infrastructure Engineer, you’ll take ownership of our AWS and Kubernetes stack, enabling engineering teams to move fast without compromising reliability or compliance.

As a Sadanaut you will:

  • Cloud Infrastructure & Networking
    • Design, build, and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure across environments
    • Own core services such as VPCs, load balancers, IAM, EC2, RDS, S3, Route53, MSK and OpenSearch
    • Ensure reliable and secure connectivity between internal and external services
  • Kubernetes
    • Own our core K8s clusters, ensuring optimal performance without wastage of resources
    • Collaborate with backend engineering teams to support CI/CD pipelines and smooth deployment workflows
    • Promote best practices in terms of deployment configuration to improve application reliability and availability
  • Reliability, Security & Compliance
    • Build and operate highly available, fault-tolerant systems with disaster recovery in mind
    • Implement infrastructure-level security best practices aligned with internal standards and regulatory requirements
  • Automation, Tooling & Observability
    • Manage infrastructure using Terraform to ensure everything is version-controlled, reproducible, and scalable.
    • Build observability into everything you ship; monitor performance, handle incidents with calm, and always follow through on root cause analysis.
    • Set up and maintain reliable monitoring, alerting, and logging to ensure systems are always visible and actionable.
    • Automate operational tasks to reduce manual effort, improve consistency, and lower deployment risk.

What it takes to become a Sadanaut:

  • Must-Have
    • 5+ years in infrastructure, cloud, or DevOps roles
    • Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services
    • Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes
    • Experience using Terraform or similar IaC tools
    • Familiarity with production-grade monitoring and incident response
  • Nice-to-have
    • Experience with Kafka, OpenSearch/ElasticSearch or Cloudflare
    • Familiarity with Linux systems administration
    • Experience working in fintech or other regulated environments
    • Comfort with root cause analysis under pressure
    • Collaborative mindset and strong documentation habits
